Landis+Gyr launches into fast recharging

Landis+Gyr expands its portfolio of recharging solutions for electric vehicles with rapid direct current (DC) charging points. Landis+Gyr will be presenting its charging solutions for electric vehicles at the Rencontres Flotauto. The range includes intelligent charging points for residential, commercial and public buildings, as well as scalable software for managing charging points and energy. To complement these alternating current (AC) solutions, Landis+Gyr is extending its range to include direct current (DC) charging points. This strategic development responds to the growing demand for fast charging and is designed to encourage the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. New DC chargers Designed to fill critical infrastructure gaps, particularly in areas where grid power is limited, these new DC chargers incorporate high-quality storage batteries that provide fast charging even in constrained environments, while reducing the costs associated with grid upgrades. This innovation not only enhances the resilience of the network, but also ensures optimum energy management, making fast charging accessible in a variety of environments. INCH intelligent charging stations offer a solution for interactive charging at home, at work or on the move. Designed with particular attention to the user experience, they guarantee smooth, intuitive operation. INCH Duo: contactless but fully connected INCH Duo is a robust terminal designed for continuous operation in busy public places. With an ergonomic design and a screen displaying simple instructions, it offers convenient ad hoc payment options for new users, while complying with AFIR regulations. OCPP compatibility enables rapid integration into all chargepoint management systems. INCH chargepoints autonomously adjust charging power according to network conditions, helping to balance the overall load. Light and sound indicators also simplify user interaction. A contactless payment module enables rapid use without the need to register, adding to the level of convenience. In a cluster configuration, the main kiosk can act as the payment terminal for all the kiosks on the site, including the INCH Pro, reducing operational costs. INCH Pro: an optimum user experience INCH Pro offers chargepoint operators the possibility of meeting the needs of a large number of electric vehicles, including in locations where the power supply is limited. This chargepoint focuses on an optimal user experience while reducing operating costs thanks to dynamic power balancing for increased charging efficiency. By creating charging profiles based on usage patterns and energy tariffs, INCH Pro ensures smooth, cost-effective charging. Advanced charge management algorithms enable safe installation without costly modifications to the grid delivery point. Coupled with the Load Guard sensor or integrated into the building's energy management system, the chargers use dynamic load management algorithms to adjust charging power to avoid overloads. Clustered, the available power is distributed intelligently between the charging points, according to the characteristics and needs of the vehicles. A colour LCD screen ensures AFIR compliance and offers secure authentication and payment options such as QR codes.
