BMW and MINI: an electric revolution.

Wednesday 24 January 2024

Fully committed to electromobility, the BMW Group now offers a 100% electric vehicle in almost all vehicle segments. And across all its brands: BMW, Mini, and BMW Motorrad.

With a range of around a dozen fully electric models already available, the BMW Group foresees substantial growth in the coming years. In 2024, at least one in every five new cars launched will feature a fully electric transmission. By 2025, a quarter of new vehicles delivered are expected to be Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), and by 2026, approximately one in three. Concurrently, through its latest concept, the BMW Vision Neue Klasse, unveiled at the International Motor Show IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, the BMW Group envisions the next generation of BMW vehicles and showcases its innovation capabilities in crucial areas such as electrification, digitalization, and circularity. With 30% more range, 30% faster charging, and 25% greater efficiency, the Neue Klasse represents a significant technological leap that will propel BMW to new heights on the roads in 2025, ushering in a new era.

Approaching are the BMW X2 and iX2.
The BMW X2, the vehicle that first introduced the Sport Activity Coupe (SAC) concept to the premium compact car segment, will unveil its second generation in March 2024, even more distinctive, sporty, and future-oriented. An all-electric variant will be part of the new lineup from the start: the BMW iX2 xDrive30. Its two highly integrated motors, one on the front axle and the other on the rear axle, collectively generate a combined power of 313 hp (230 kW) and a torque of 494 Nm, offering a range of 417 to 449 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. In the summer of 2024, a second all-electric variant will be added to the lineup.

The BMW 5 Series and i5: sedan and Touring wagon.
More dynamic than ever, equipped with a plethora of digital innovations, and, for the first time, featuring fully electric powertrains, the new BMW 5 Series Sedan was unveiled in 2023. Under the name BMW i5, the new generation of the world's most popular executive sedan paves the way for sustainable mobility in the premium vehicle segment. In early 2024, the 100% electric offensive continues at BMW. In the spring, the new 5 Series Touring will make its global debut, available with the same range of powertrains as the sedan, including the all-electric i5 Touring version.
